Hi Yakkers,
Jim and I fronted up to MG about 4.15am and were greeted by a very low tide and some nasty waves. However, with great skill and dexterity (and a little luck) we both got through unscathed but a little wet.
We proceeded towards LHR and came across a lot of bird and fish activity but casting into the schools, which we later determined to be bonitos and mac tuna, was fruitless. So we trolled out to LHR where we tried everything to no avail except for me catching 4 or 5 bonitos.
We decided to go to the National Park and then home which we did as we had no success. The tide was now very high so coming to shore was done quite easily. We landed about 9.15am to be greeted by Josie who was having a peaceful time out of the sun.
Turtleboy Steve had come later and called us with the same problem as before... we could hear him but he could not hear us. We never met up with Steve but he did email us re the communication problem later and intimated that he had not caught any fish.
